What are Eyelash Extensions & How are they applied?

Not To be confused with "strips", "flares" or "clusters", eyelash extensions are individual, semi-permanent, glossy synthetic lashes that are applied one by one to your natural lash. It is a single lash procedure: adhering one extension to one of your natural lashes about 1-2mm away from your skin. The adhesive does NOT touch your skin, only your lash.

How long do they last?

They will last as long as you want them to with regular touch-ups. It is VERY important to understand this: A natural hair has to be a certain length to hold an extension. We will skip a hair if it is not long enough, however, when you come back 2 to 3 weeks later, that hair will be long enough and we can add an extension. Meantime, you may have lost lashes due to the natural process of the hair cycle. Our eyelashes grow in, stay a certain amount of days and then fall out. If you have an extension on a lash that is at the end of its cycle, obviously, you will loose the extension when the hair falls out. Then a new hair will grow in its place and when that one is long enough, we will get to add an extension to it. So you can see, this is a continual process! If you want to keep up the extensions, you need to come regularly for touch-up appointments. Most of our clients come every 2 to 3 weeks. Some come every 4 weeks. It all depends on how well you take care of them, and your hair growth cycle. Everyone's cycle is different: that is why you cannot compare how long your lashes last to how long your friends' lashes last. She may have a shorter cycle, or vice-versa.

Can I get them for a one-time occasion?

Yes, absolutely recommended for events such as reunions, weddings, honeymoons, vacations, dance recitals, formals, proms, interviews, photo shoots, first dates. . . . etc. . .

If I want to keep them up, what is the maintenance?

The extension will shed with your natural lash that it is attached to. Growth and shedding cycles are inconsistent so to keep up your new look, we recommend getting touch-ups every 2-3 weeks.

How do I know if I need a touch-up?

When you loose about 25-30% of your extensions.

Is there a way I can try them before committing to a Full-Set?

Yes, you can book a "Try-Me Set" appointment. SeeService Menu tab.

How do I take care of them?

•Keep your eye-area free of any products with oil in them. Oil is the enemy for lash extensions. Use oil-free products. We sell oil free makeup remover in liquid and pads.

•Do not pull or rub the extensions.

•Keep them out of a sauna or steam.

•Do not sleep on them if you can help it.

•Keep them clean.

•We send you home with the "Do's and Don'ts" so you have instructions handy.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

•Arrive with NO eye makeup on. Please remove eye-make with oil-free makeup remover, making sure that there is NO mascara or eyeliner in your lash line. If you use a makeup remover with oil in it, your lashes will absorb the oil and that could interfere with the bond of the adhesive. It's very important that you arrive with no makeup on.

•If you wear contacts, please do not wear them to appointment- bring glasses for the ride home. Bring iPod if you don't want to take a nap :)

•If it's your first time: please arrive 10-15 minutes early so you can fill out consent forms.

•Call, Email or text with ANY questions : 716.861.8997 email us through the contact form.

•Please do not bring children to the appointment, as your eyes will be closed while we are putting your beautiful lashes on.
